Developed by a group of Stanford University alumni, Pi Network focuses on building a decentralized peer-to-peer ecosystem. The hook for Pi is that you can mine it on your phone. Other cryptocurrencies that use mining, most notably Bitcoin (BTC 1.12%), require much more processing power, so most miners use specialized devices.
Node operators must keep their nodes online and accessible to earn rewards. The network tracks three key metrics: uptime percentage, port accessibility and CPU contribution. Nodes with open ports can communicate directly with other nodes, making them essential for network operations. Super Nodes require consistently open ports and high uptime to maintain their status.

Trump has pledged to make the United States the “bitcoin and cryptocurrency capital of the world”, and to put tech billionaire and rightwing conspiracy theorist Elon Musk in charge of a wide-ranging audit of governmental waste.
For weeks, prediction markets had been far more favorable toward Trump than the polls, which portrayed Trump and Harris in a dead heat. (For example, Polymarket gave Trump a 62% chance of winning on Nov. 3.) And on election day, before any major results had been tabulated, prediction markets swung heavily towards Trump; the odds of Republicans sweeping the presidency, house and senate jumped to 44% on Kalshi.
